Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in our project development by providing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for a range of real estate development projects. Your work will be integral to our mission of creating sustainable, high-quality, and iconic developments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as an estimator in the real estate development or construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in cost estimating software and tools.
- Excellent understanding of construction techniques, materials, and project management.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for new real estate development projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
- Analyze and review construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents to determine project costs, materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints throughout the project lifecycle.
- Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiate pricing, and maintain strong relationships with vendors to secure the most competitive pricing.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering solutions while maintaining project quality standards.
- Generate detailed cost reports and documentation to provide transparent financial insights for project stakeholders.
- Monitor and track project costs, providing regular updates and alerts on cost variations.
- Identify potential project risks and work with the project team to develop strategies for risk mitigation.
- Ensure that all cost estimates and budgets adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
