Job Title: Estimator Residential Construction
Job Type: Full Time, office hours are 8:00am 4:00pm Monday to Friday
Location: Broadbeach Gold Coast Qld
Gold Coast based residential volume builder that delivers a high-quality product to the residential market within Southeast Queensland are seeking an estimator to join the team within an excellent and stable working environment.
This role will suit a confident, industry experienced individual who is seeking an immediate start and demonstrates an eye for high detail, can easily adapt to the culture and direction of the company. The ideal candidate will be positive, highly motivated with a high accuracy and attention to detail.
Reporting to the construction Manager you will be exposed to a mixed range of residential construction projects (including single story, spit-level, double story, and terrace designs) and will be expected to perform the following tasks:
- High understanding of new home build process, construction plans and specifications.
- Completion of estimating on residential homes from start to finish.
- Liaise with trades, suppliers, local councils, and consultants for current pricing.
- Conduct accurate take-offs and thorough cost estimations for residential construction projects including material costs, labour and overhead expenses.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost effectiveness and quality.
- Preparation and process of purchase orders.
- Preparation of accurate costs/budgets for projects.
The successful candidate is required to have the following attributes:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a residential volume home builder is highly regarded.
- DATABUILD experience is essential.
- Bluebeam software experience preferred.
- Therefore software experience preferred though not essential.
- Competency in operating Microsoft office with excellent competency in word, outlook, excel and Adobe PDF.
- Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes and detail, construction plans, specifications, building practices and materials related to residential homes.
- Cost control management
- Reasonable trade experience and qualifications in volume build projects is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail is a must.
- Approachable, and positive personality with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Excellent work environment. This role is for immediate start.
Competitive salary package, up to $130k.
Final salary will be based on experience
