Come and join our team of experts at the function Business Compliance within Saab’s Business Area Surveillance!
As Ethics & Compliance Officer you will help enable ethical business and ensure that we comply with all relevant laws and regulations, especially within anti-corruption.

Within the function Business Compliance, you will find the following compliance areas:

  • EC, Export Control
  • FAR/DFARS, US Federal Acquisition Regulation, and Defence Supplement
  • E&C, Ethics and Compliance
  • Data Protection

You will be part of our team of experts and Compliance Officers either in Stockholm or in Gothenburg. The compliance function covers operations in Sweden, South Africa, UAE and Finland. The function also has coordination within the compliance area towards our Operational Countries (United States, Germany, United Kingdom and Australia).
Your role
You will in your role as Ethics & Compliance Officer work close to our Business Units within Surveillance and also with corporate functions such as Group Ethics & Compliance, Global Business Development and Operating Countries. You will be responsible at Surveillance for implementing and coordinating work related to our Code of Conduct and our Anti-Corruption program. You will organize and participate in risk assessments and due diligence investigations, conduct trainings, manage reporting and provide daily guidance within the Business Area. Documenting and monitoring business partner performance are also central parts of your responsibility to ensure compliance in all transactions.
Your profile
This position requires authority and integrity. You are experienced in international business and You are knowledgeable of corruption risks and compliance work.

You have a compliance-, sales- and/or commercial background with good business- and customer understanding.

  • Relevant academic degree in Business Administration, Finance or Legal
  • Several years of experience in compliance and anti-corruption (ABC) as well as good business understanding and experience from international business
  • Experience in risk analysis, regulatory compliance, Due Diligence, Anti-Money Laundering, is strongly meritorious
  • Have a good understanding of anti-corruption legislation such as FCPA, UK Bribery Act, the Swedish Bribery Act etc
  • Analytical personality with the ability to maintain good structure
  • Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
  • Experience of working in international companies
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team and ensure high quality according to policies and procedures

The work is both of a strategic- and event driven nature where both initiative and the ability to evaluate situations and options are needed, sometimes in a time critical manner.

Your skills and experience

  • A good compliance- and business understanding and experience from contract negotiations is highly qualifying.
  • Service oriented but at the same time impeccable integrity.
  • You should be analytical, have a good sense of order and have demonstrated your skill to take initiative
  • You are comfortable working both independently within your field of competence as well as with other local- and group functions in order to secure quality and in order to follow policies and procedures.
  • You have drive, perseverance and an interest for understanding the circumstances and conditions relevant for each business case and a holistic approach of how to assess risk.
  • The position requires both domestic and international travel
  • You are prepared to travel and learn new things and you are comfortable in different environments and cultures.
  • The potential and interest to also grow into other Compliance areas and assist when needed.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
