This posting is for the State of Hawaii, Department of Accounting and General Services, Office of Enterprise Technology Services.
The position is located on the Island of Oahu. (Location of this position).
Salary: $ 3,166 - $ 3,750 per month

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK REQUIREMENT: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Knowledge: Business English, spelling, punctuation, word usage and arithmetic, operation and maintenance of various word processing equipment, office machines, and general office practices and procedures.
Skills/Abilities: Communicate effectively both orally and in writing; follow oral and written instructions; perform a variety of clerical tasks; operate a personal computer; make arithmetical computations; compare words and numbers quickly and accurately; understand, interpret, and apply pertinent policies, procedures, laws, rules and regulations; compose routine correspondence; maintain an effective work pace; read and understand manuals and other detailed books of instruction; and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Recommended Experience: Two and one-half (2-1/2) years of work experience which involved the performance of a variety of clerical tasks and the ability to carry out office practices procedures in clerical work systems. Such experience must have included six (6) months experience in a human resources assistant role, which demonstrated the knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and arithmetic; and the ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, write simply and directly, and compare words and numbers quickly and accurately. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for work experience.
Responsibilities:
The Office of Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) is established within the Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS) to integrate all of the State’s Executive Branch Information Technology (IT) administration, services, and operations into a single, cohesive strategy to reduce costs, deliver effective government services, increase project process efficiencies, improve the overall cyber security posture, and provide accountability and transparency to all constituents the State of Hawaii serves.
The position is located within the ETS Administrative Services Staff and is responsible to provide support to the ETS Personnel Specialist in providing transactional support in processing personnel changes and monthly, quarterly vacancy reports and maintenance of all personnel files and databases to include Employee Personnel Action Reports and training records.
