SITE SUPERVISOR

Location: ETWMF – 300 Rodick Rd. Markham, ON
Position Type: Full-time - Permanent
Reporting: Facility Manager
Hours: 10:00pm to 6:00am, occasional weekends

QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS:

• Your excellent interpersonal, team building, communication, and superior organization skills will make you the ideal person for this dynamic position.
• You will have the ability to thoroughly utilize Microsoft word and Excel programs for facility tonnage records and productivity analysis.
• You will be responsible for adhering to the annual budget expectations on a monthly basis.
• Experience in facilities or MRF’s is a definite asset as well as Computer skills are also required for this position.
• Previous supervisory experience is a definite asset, flexibility to be available across multiple shift operating times is required.
• Required to work extended hours, weekends and holidays.

In the position of Site Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• You will be responsible for the operation of this facility as well as maintain overall productivity, staffing, shipping, and material quality control.
• Comply with ISO procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, Operation Manual, and the Environmental Compliance Approvals (E.C.A.) as provided by Region.
• Responsible for the health and safety of all customers, contractors, and staff.
• Maintain exemplary customer service levels.
• Arrange all logistic scheduling for all non-hazardous waste materials.
• Act as the main liaison with Region Site Representative and HHW Depot’s Supervisor.
• Assist in audits as required.
• Conduct daily inventory counts and record retention times of material stored on site.
• Reconciliation of all cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Arrange for the removal of CFCs from White Goods and track inventory of White Goods containing CFCs in accordance with the ECAs
• Conduct daily site inspections and notify Regional staff of any concerns.
• Ensure contract, regulatory, safety and policy compliance
• You will be the first line of contact with customers, Regional staff, the Ministry of Labour (MOL) and the Ministry of Environment (MOE).
• Maintain responsibility for overall productivity, staffing, shipping, and material quality control.
• Must be able to cover all positions on site.
• Adhere to Miller Waste Systems Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Continuous improvement to the overall daily operations.
