GENERAL

• Definition of test plans and test cases.
• Construction of test scenarios and scripts.
• Execution of tests.
• Preparation and maintenance of test data.
• Test reporting.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

As stated in Article 2.6.3.1 of the DIGIT-TM II Service requirements, a minimum educational qualification for Lot 2 is:

• Level of education corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualification Framework, which typically corresponds to a bachelor’s level or 3 years of higher education.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The following skills and knowledge are required for performing the above-listed tasks:

• Experience in manual testing.
• Experience in testing automation.
• Experience in test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases.
• Good knowledge of testing technologies, tools, frameworks, and techniques, particularly those that can be used in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of data-driven solutions testing (data warehouse, data lakes, data mining, etc.).
• Knowledge of a Test Management Tool.
• Knowledge of a Defect Tracking tool, particularly JIRA.
• Knowledge of relational database management systems such as MS SQL and Oracle.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch, Spark, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Artificial Intelligence technologies would be an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good writing skills, with experience in preparing written reports.
• Capability of integrating into an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability, and experience in working in a team.
• Ability to cope with fast-changing technologies used in application developments.
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings, with ease of communication.
• Analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to write clear and structured documents.

Due to the particular nature of a large international organization such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability, and experience in working in a team.
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment, on multiple large projects.
• Excellent team player.
• Ability to understand, speak, and write French (B1/B2).
• High degree of discretion and integrity, as the applications managed and maintained in DIGIT.A.4 contain personal and confidential data.
