JOB SUMMARY
This position will evaluate student records from other institutions primarily to determine applicability of transfer course work and, as needed, to determine transfer admission eligibility.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of online student information systems. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff, faculty, and students. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply academic and administrative policies and procedures. Personal computer, word-processing and spreadsheet software, imaging software, calculator. Demonstrated ability to teats all customers (students, faculty, and staff colleagues) with dignity and respect, empathy, fairness and professionalism, consistent with the university mission, values and strategic vision. Ensures operational integrity and continuity by maintaining detailed descriptions of responsibilities, ranging from daily tasks to strategic activities and outcomes, and makes them available to supervisor.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university’s commitment to a “vision of excellence.”
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Equivalent to one year of experience related to academic records evaluation required.
PHYSICAL SUMMARY
Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

Responsibilities:
- Evaluation of Student Academic Records: Determine transferability of courses not taken at CSULB utilizing PeopleSoft, imaging software, and other articulation tools.
- Interpret Academic Policy and Provide Information: Advise students, college counselors, CSULB academic departments, and other sections of Enrollment Services on transfer evaluation, admissions policies/procedures, and degree requirements.
- Maintenance of Resource Materials: Correspond and confer with representatives of other educational institutions as necessary for clarification of policies, course information, grading, etc.
