Description:
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Purpose: Are you prepared to lead and inspire a dynamic team in the exciting field of event and trade show management? As our Event and Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless setup and dismantling of impressive trade show/event displays, as well as overseeing warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating workflows, maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing warehouse organization, and fostering a collaborative work environment. If you excel in organization and creativity, and enjoy a diverse and engaging role, this position is ideal for you!
This position is primarily based in-house at our headquarters in Calgary, AB; there is an approximate work split of 75% on the shop floor and 25% at the desk/computer. Computer skills are required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Leadership: Inspire and guide a team of skilled technicians to achieve their best.
- Project Management: Plan, schedule, and allocate resources for successful project completion.
- Fabrication Expertise: Mastery of woodworking, metalworking, and finishing techniques.
- Intermediate Computer Skills: Proficiency with Google Suite, scheduling, and inventory management software (we can train on the software)
- Attention to Detail: Ensure precision and quality in all exhibit components.
- Equipment Savvy: Operate industrial machinery and shop equipment like a pro.
- Design Drawing Interpretation: Translate CAD drawings into actionable plans.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards with rigorous inspections.
- Problem-Solving: Tackle challenges with effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Safety Compliance: Prioritize safety with comprehensive understanding and enforcement of regulations.
- Communication Skills: Liaise effectively with team members, project managers, and clients.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and continuously enhance your skills.
