Te āheinga The opportunity
We are seeking an Event Attraction & Business Development Officer for a 6-month fixed term role to cover maternity leave. The Event Attraction & Business Development Officer will be responsible for providing information, acting as the central point of contact, and coordinating event enquiries and venue bookings. Additionally, this role involves proactively developing new business opportunities to enhance the portfolio of events hosted in our venues.
Tino takohanga Key responsibilities
Action requests to ensure venues meet customer needs both in a timely fashion and providing excellent customer service.
Identify opportunities for business development to further expand the venues’ events business.
Assist with administration and event coordination of venues’ presented events.
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation.
Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako Essential skills and experience
Ideally tertiary qualification and/or appropriate level of experience in related field, including sales and/or negotiation.
Sound computer skills – with good understanding of MS word, Excel and Outlook
Building positive internal and external customer relationships
Experience of events and venues (desirable)
Knowledge of hospitality instruct (desirable)
