EVENT & HR OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, SCHOOL OF FAMILY LIFE
Are you a master of multitasking, an event enthusiast, and an HR aficionado? We are seeking a dynamic Event and HR Operations Specialist to join our team. If you thrive on orchestrating seamless events, managing student hiring needs, and keeping the gears of an academic department turning smoothly, this role is tailor-made for you! Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO IN THIS POSITION:
- Organize all events for the School of Family Life (SFL), including annual gatherings, banquets, faculty meetings, and department retreats.
- Coordinate event promotion and advertisement and arrange travel for University guests
- Handle core HR transactions and services for both graduate and undergraduate student teaching and research assistants, including coordinating hires, job changes, and time tracking
- Respond to common HR inquiries from student employees and prospective hires regarding policies and procedures, system navigation, and status of business processes
- Provide information to the university’s Experiential Learning Management System (ELMS) on behalf of graduate and undergraduate TAs and RAs
- Purchase office supplies for SFL building areas
- Collaborate with SFL staff and assist with website and bulletin board updates
- Perform other office duties as assigned
