Description:

Do you want to help reinvent event security through technology? If so, you might be a great match to lead our Event Security program at Intuit Dome.
We are seeking an experienced and multifaceted Event Security Manager who is adept at crafting, planning and implementing event security and safety programs. Event Security Manager will be responsible for the overall management of event security operations at Intuit Dome, ensure that our safety program meets NBA security standards, and liaise with our event security, Police, Fire, K9 and EMS/First Aid partners.
The ideal candidate will possess a detailed understanding of sports & entertainment venue safety programs and have five or more years of supervisory or management experience in a building security or event-based workforce.

YOUR BACKGROUND, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five years direct industry experience in security-related field.
  • Supervisory and management experience with a building security or event-based work force.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of sports & entertainment venue event planning and related activities.
  • Experience with governmental resources, including police and fire departments, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FBI and other local, state and federal resources.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of physical security systems, including CCTV, fire alarm, access control and radio communication systems.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in crisis management, investigation skills, security technology, life safety, risk management, payroll, and scheduling are required.
  • Experience with budgeting and creating event staffing estimates.
  • Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and compliance regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field highly preferred, advanced degree preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and implement programs to ensure the safety and security of all guests, employees, performers, public officials, executive management, service partners and clients.
  • Provide effective communication to staff and guests in emergency response situations; update and manage facility Emergency Operating Plans with regular updates and exercises. Assess, develop and manage the execution of security strategies and plans as required to secure building perimeters, parking garages, access points, staff work areas, command center and load dock operations during events.
  • Communicate with each department regarding specific needs and information for each event.
  • Attend weekly meetings to review prior and upcoming week’s events.
  • Gather accurate event attendance numbers in order to staff events properly.
  • Partner with security service partners to conduct pre-event meeting with team members.
  • Prepare event data sheets for supervisors.
  • Responsible for relaying all information pertaining to the event to security service partners by conducting pre-event meetings.
  • Work in conjunction with Event Manager to ensure the Intuit Dome is ready for opening of doors.
  • Ensure that the Intuit Dome is cleared of all guests before releasing security service partners staff.
  • Lead Event Command Center and Post during events in executing key event security details.
  • Review and discuss event security rider with promoter security team and share with security service partners. Ensure required security staff is covered.
  • Liaison for Police, Fire and Event Medical Personnel and Security Office.
  • Report event security costs by completing an actual and forward to the event operations team.
  • Read and approve all incidents reports prepared by Security Base Personnel.
  • Oversee the security staffing operations during events and respond to incidents as the need arises
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local, City, State and government security organizations to ensure effective communication, coordination and compliance with security issues during events.
  • Manage internal and external security investigations and collaborate with law enforcement agencies during events. May be required to provide documentation and consultation in response to legal action.
  • Work closely with Team Security, NBA, visiting team and show touring security personnel to ensure security measures are coordinated and in place during of each event.
  • Execute NBA Arena Security Procedures & Guidelines.
  • Manage and participate in the development and administration of the Security Department annual budget.
  • Manage and maintain the employee identification and access control technology programs.
  • Conduct routine industry operational reviews; recommend modifications to Intuit Dome security and safety programs, policies, and procedures as deemed appropriate.
  • Interpret and apply City, State and Federal policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
  • Working schedule based on Intuit Dome events and other activities.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
