QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant Experience: Nonprofit development/marketing/event management experience is highly valued.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience.
  • Flexible Schedule: Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required by events and activities.
  • Local Travel: Willingness to travel locally with travel expenses reimbursed.
  • Work-Life Balance: Opportunity to work a 9-80 schedule with every other Friday off and the option to work remotely up to two days per week.

Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Management:

  • Create Meaningful Experiences: Plan, organize, and execute impactful fundraising events from start to finish, aligning each with our mission and goals.
  • Collaborative Coordination: Work with vendors, manage budgets, and ensure every detail is meticulously handled for a seamless event experience.

Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate Community: Build and nurture lasting relationships with donors, sponsors, and community leaders.
  • Networking Excellence: Represent our organization at various community and social events, embodying our values and mission.

Fundraising:

  • Strategic Fundraising: Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies to secure sponsorships and auction items.
  • Engagement Expertise: Confidently make funding requests, secure sponsorship deals, and manage donor expectations with integrity.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Creative Campaigns: Lead and oversee promotional campaigns for events and fundraising initiatives, leveraging social media, email, and other platforms to engage and attract supporters.
  • Visibility Champion: Ensure our events and initiatives receive the attention they deserve, creating buzz and excitement within our community.

Hosting Tour Groups:

  • Inspirational Tours: Host engaging tours for potential funders, volunteers, and community members, showcasing the impact and needs of Working Wardrobes.
  • Ambassadorial Role: Be the face of our mission, making each tour a memorable and inspiring experience.

Attendance and Participation at Events:

  • Active Engagement: Attend and actively participate in relevant community and networking events to build connections and raise awareness.
  • Mission Advocate: Promote our cause and forge partnerships that benefit our organization and the community we serve.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Data-Driven Success: Monitor and report on the success of events and campaigns, using insights to refine and improve future strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leverage data to make informed decisions and drive the success of our initiatives.
