Responsibilities:

As the Event Operations Assistant Manager you will be responsible for supporting the Events Operations Manager and Head of Events & Banqueting with our fantastic events in the Grantley Suite and our other luxury event spaces. This opportunity would suit a well presented, hospitality driven and confident individual who has a wealth of knowledge managing their own team and working within a prestigious business.

  • Take ownership to ensure the stock holding is tracked, replenished and kept in order
  • Be pro-active with customer comments and complaints
  • To identify areas of upselling opportunity and be proactive in increasing revenue generation for all areas of the business
  • Organise and communicate to all hotel departments regarding upcoming events, show round appointments and wedding viewings
  • Working with the sales team and the operational team to achieve exceptional service from the beginning to the end of an event
  • Organise and prioritize staff rotas and shift patterns according to business needs
  • Successfully run and deliver events, ensuring prep and planning is completed, staffing roles assigned and briefings delivered
  • Manage back of house area ensuring all SOPs are followed
  • Manage the set up of events following the function sheets to ensure a seamless event delivery
  • Meet & greet with clients prior to events to coordinate the delivery and running of the upcoming event
  • Be calm and quick thinking, mastering the art of problem solving in a fast pace, high pressured environment
