We are looking for personable and organised individuals to join our Exam Invigilation Team for a school based in Redbridge to supervise students taking both internal and external examinations for the end of year exams April 2024 - July 2024. The hours are variable depending upon the exam timetable.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting with setting-up examination venues by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers
  • Directing students to their seats
  • Advising students about possessions permitted in examination venues
  • Ensuring that candidates do not talk once inside examination venues
  • Invigilating during examinations, dealing with queries raised by candidates and dealing with irregularities
  • Checking attendance during examinations and recording details of late arrivals

Requirements:

  • Possess good interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with matters calmly
  • Will need to be reliable, punctual and flexible
  • No formal qualifications are required as full mandatory training will be provided, including comprehensive child protection training
  • Physical fitness appropriate to tasks required (exam papers can be heavy in bulk, and there is a lot of walking involved)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is essential
  • DBS on the update service (Randstad can support with this)
