Job Summary:
Provides high level administrative support for Directors within Casino Operations. Performs advanced and diversified confidential duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Maintain communication with all Casino Operations departments.
  • Maintain appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel arrangements.
  • Represents Directors by attending meetings in their absence as necessary
  • Answering and relaying all phone calls and messages.
  • Monitor all faxes and mail.
  • Word processes all correspondence using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Organizing and maintaining all files.
  • Responsible for purchase requisitions for Casino Operations: prepared, signed, and distributed.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge of Casino Operations.
  • Assists with processing payroll weekly
  • Ensures all departmental reviews are being completed on time by communicating review dates with Managers and Directors.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Must be adept at handling sensitive and confidential information with tact and diplomacy, using good judgment and discretion. Knowledge of methods, principles and practices of Casino operations. Highly effective communicator, motivator with excellent guest service skills. Strong typing skills and the ability to operate standard office equipment. Extensive experience and high proficiency in Microsoft Office, (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) along with Project Management. Ability to develop and maintain a pleasant and effective working relationship with Tribal Council, Directors, and other staff. Ability to take dictation and/or short-hand. Excellent organizational skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university in a related field, and 3 to 4 years related experience and/or training supporting Directors in an organization of at least 1000 team members; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some supervisory experience preferred. Must be able to work independently on the job. Will possess superior organizational skills, with an exceptional commitment to accuracy, detail, and follow-up, along with an ability to work under high intensity situations when necessary. Strong oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to effectively collaborate with internal team, cross-functional team, and external parties in a rapidly growing environment. Must be adept at handling sensitive and confidential information with tact and diplomacy, using good judgment and discretion. Prior project management knowledge and administration skills preferred. Ability to provide after hours and flexible support a must.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Reading, writing and speaking skills are important to the successful conduct of this position. Ability to interpret documents such as rules and regulations, instructions and procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to inquiries from Tribal Council, clients or members of the Tribal community. Ability to effectively present information to the Council or public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, rates, ratio, proportions and percentages.
