It is currently seeking an Executive for their Accounts Payable department. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for managing accounts payable operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and group policy, and participating in the development of process improvements within Finance. The successful candidate will have the chance to contribute to the modernisation of finance skillsets and digitise inefficiencies from existing processes.

What you’ll do:

As an Executive in Accounts Payable, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial obligations of our client’s thriving automotive business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing accounts payable operations, ensuring that all financial transactions comply with established accounting principles and group policies. You will also be instrumental in maintaining strong relationships with approved payables, monitoring accrual amounts regularly, and working closely with other finance teams to ensure completeness of inter-company transactions. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the modernisation of finance skillsets by participating in process improvement initiatives within the Finance department.

  • Manage accounts payable operations and petty cash reimbursement
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, internal controls and group policy
  • Validate and process documents before month-end closing or stipulated deadline
  • Monitor accrual amounts regularly and maintain good relationships with all approved payables
  • Work closely with regional Finance Operation team to ensure completeness of inter-company transactions
  • Participate in the development of process improvement in Finance and uphold modernisation of finance skillsets
  • Maintain strong compliance of control procedures; i.e. LOA in carrying out daily tasks
  • Ensure timely preparation of the audit and tax schedules

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Executive, Accounts Payable role will bring a wealth of finance experience to the table. With at least 2 years of experience in a progressively growing capacity, you will have developed strong internal controls background and industry knowledge of best practices for finance operations. Your excellent command of English, both written and verbal, will enable you to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. As a team player who is highly motivated, proactive, and creative, you will be instrumental in growing the team and implementing transformational changes within the department.

  • At least 2 years of finance experience in a progressively growing capacity
  • Diploma/Degree (any level), preferably in finance, and/or Accounting qualification (any type)
  • Strong internal controls background, industry knowledge of best practice for finance operations
  • Excellent command of written and verbal English
  • Proven experience in growing a team and implementing transformation with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Good time-management skills and ability to manage tasks systematically
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills to handle challenging discussions diplomatically
  • Ability to simplify and communicate effectively
  • Team player, highly motivated, proactive, and creative
