Description:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or diploma with a specialization in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field of study. Equivalent working experience in an administrative setting may be considered in lieu of education.
- One (1) to three (3) years working in an executive or senior administrative role.
- Excellent office management skills, including calendar management, time management, and the ability to meet critical and irregular deadlines.
- Demonstrated research, analytical, evaluation and problem-solving skills to identify trends and best practices and develop and recommend solutions.
- Proficiency in the preparation of agendas, minutes, and reports including the ability to research legislation, regulations and policies.
- Ability to deal with sensitive or confidential matters with tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, stakeholders and the general public.
- Strong decision making and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
- Advanced level of proficiency in Zoom/Teams is an asset.
- Experience in a public administration or municipal environment considered an asset.
- Completion of Municipal Administration program considered an asset or willing to obtain.
- Knowledge and understanding of municipal government and the functions of a municipal council including policies, by-laws, affiliated municipalities, provincial ministries, and relevant agencies considered an asset.
- Must possess valid ‘G’ class driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
