Description:
[What the role is]
The Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology (CUGE), a division of the National Parks Board, is the Continuing Education and Training (CET) Centre for the Landscape Industry. CUGE offers skills training programmes and facilitate career development for all levels of the landscape workforce. These programmes range from Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) courses to professional certification programmes, workshops and seminars. Our vision is to be the regional centre for advancing and sharing knowledge in the use of greenery and ecology to enhance urban living environment.
[What you will be working on]
- Ensure smooth running of WSQ programme by providing pre-and-post course administration support, including the preparation of course files and other documents and ensuring all documents submitted back after classes are in good order.
- Maintain training records (e.g. trainer/assessors schedule, trainee lists, schedules, attendance sheets)
- Provide logistical support such as ensuring training sites\classrooms are available and in good condition before and after training.
- Check training equipment availability and serviceability. The equipment used are for plant maintenance such as Rotary Mower, Knapsack Brush cutter, Hedge trimmer.
- Resolve issues as they arise onsite and provide customer service support such as responding to enquiries, liaise closely with applicants/company representatives to facilitate course registration and ensure successful transaction.
- Oversee and manage department purchase orders, ensuring timely approval, goods receipting and tracking.
- Assist Course Managers in archiving of WSQ training documents and support annual audit exercises.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management.
[What we are looking for]
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience as an operation support staff, preferably in a training organisation
- Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of databases and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
- Possess good interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
- Energetic, positive-minded individual who is meticulous, organized and possess good time management.
- Resourceful and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Willing to travel, work location will be at HortPark and Sengkang Park.
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Successful candidates will be offered a 9-month employment contract.
