Description:
[What the role is]
The Centre for Urban Greenery and Ecology (CUGE), a division of the National Parks Board, is the Continuing Education and Training (CET) Centre for the Landscape Industry. CUGE offers skills training programmes and facilitate career development for all levels of the landscape workforce. These programmes range from Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) courses to professional certification programmes, workshops and seminars. Our vision is to be the regional centre for advancing and sharing knowledge in the use of greenery and ecology to enhance urban living environment.
[What you will be working on]
- Ensure smooth running of WSQ programme by providing pre-and-post course administration support, including the preparation of course files and other documents and ensuring all documents submitted back after classes are in good order.
- Schedule trainer/assessors for course runs and keep proper record of their allocations.
- Provide administrative support to trainees to ensure effective implementation of the new SSG e-attendance system.
- Provide customer service support such as responding to enquiries, liaise closely with applicants/company representatives to facilitate course registration and ensure successful transaction.
- Work with Senior Manager to proofread newly revised/developed courseware, arrange for feedback sessions (with trainers/assessors) after each pilot run and consolidate the findings.
- Compile course survey/feedback from Training Quality and Outcomes Measurement (TRAQOM) platform to evaluate the impact of training programmes and improve training effectiveness.
- Assist Course Managers in archiving of WSQ training documents and support annual audit exercises.
- Provide logistical support such as ensuring training sites\classrooms are in good condition before and after training, check training equipment availability, serviceability and other site set-up requirements.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management.
[What we are looking for]
At least 2 years of relevant working experience as an operation support staff, preferably in a training organisation
- Proficient in using computerised systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Possess good interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Energetic, positive-minded individual who is meticulous, organized and possess good time management.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Successful candidates will be offered a 9-month employment contract.
