We are looking to fill this position on an ongoing basis. Future positions may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis subject to operational requirements. Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for a specified term of up to 12 months initially with the possibility of extension.
As an Online Services Product Owner your role is to holistically manage IP Australia’s Online Services portal experience. The Online Services Product Owner plays a critical role in ensuring IP Australia provides an exemplary digital experience through continuous improvement of IP Australia’s transactional channel offerings. The role is focused on driving value, gathering feedback, making decisions, and ensuring the customer is at the centre of everything we do. Providing a bridge between internal and external stakeholders, the Online Services Product Owner is responsible for continuously improving IP Australia’s online services experience based on customer feedback in alignment with IP Australia’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

Your duties will include:

  • Develop and manage product delivery and strategy roadmaps
  • Manage deliverables using agile principles and approach
  • Manage delivery partners, internal and external stakeholders of the online services portal and supporting APIs
  • Define and manage a product backlog with available resources
  • Encourage an innovative culture including customer centricity and data-driven decision-making approach
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver online services sustainment and continuous improvement
  • Create and maintain a collaborative, innovative and efficient working environment
  • Prepare a range of written material including business cases, executive briefs, decision papers, reports, and corporate documentation
  • Make informed decisions based on customer experience, data analytics and professional judgement
  • Manage a small dynamic team, providing support and leadership and maintaining accountability for the achievement of outcomes
