Description:

  • Exciting opportunity for an experienced climate risk measurement specialist to join our ESG Risk Team
  • Permanent fulltime opportunity
  • Sydney or Melbourne based position

WHAT DO I NEED?

You’ll need a solid 10 years if industry experience in banking and finance, with at least 3 years specifically in a climate-related role. If you’ve had experience in international markets, that’s even better. Your background might include time spent in consulting or professional services.
We’re looking for someone with a strong grasp of climate risk measurement and a familiarity with global best practices in sustainability. Exceptional quantitative analysis and coding skills are a must-have. Ideally, you’ll also have experience in risk quantification within the insurance or banking industry. This could involve executing climate stress testing or scenario analysis programs for financial institutions, estimating the impact of extreme weather on real estate assets, or calculating expected credit losses to lending portfolios under different economic scenarios.
You’ll need to be adept at extracting key business and risk insights from complex data analysis and conveying them clearly and concisely to senior management. So, exceptional conceptual and analytical skills are crucial. You should also possess evident business acumen and excellent verbal and written communication capabilities, as you’ll be managing multiple stakeholders with differing views.
