We have an exciting opportunity at nbn, for an Executive Manager Data Consumption Architect reporting to the General Manager Data Science and Delivery.
A bit about your role
As the Executive Manager Data Consumption Architect, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and communicating common standards and patterns for data consumption. Your responsibilities include designing and overseeing the development of data capabilities that meet the needs of the business, both from a technical architecture, and a business objectives perspective.
In this role, you will drive the implementation of data consumption patterns and capabilities. This will include designing the roadmap of data consumption patterns and capabilities (including APIs). You are to ensure components are built to promote reusability and scalability. To accomplish this, you will collaborate with Data Product Owners, DevSecOps Data team, IT Architecture, and stakeholders across the business. A key facet of this role is bridging the gap between the business and technology teams, helping the business understand how to consume and extract value from data; while translating that into the technical direction our implementation teams need to build solutions which meet the business’ objectives.
A bit about you
The successful candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining data consumption patterns. This includes web APIs, integration patterns like queueing, streaming and event-based architectures as well as data virtualisation tools. Moreover, you have experience in consumption pattern testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks. The key focus is to design scalable and resilient data consumption solutions, so knowledge of different architectural styles and integration patterns will be vital.
This role will require someone with strong stakeholder management skills, exceptional ability to build and maintain engagements at a senior level and leverage several teams for success.
