HOW WILL I HELP?

We’re looking for an Executive Manager, Governance & Regulatory Engagement - Consumer who’ll proactively identify, manage, mitigate, and monitor risks for our Consumer Division, including Consumer Transformation, through key risk management programs. This role is essential in ensuring that our risk attestations, risk appetite, and key risk indicators development and reporting are accurate and complete. You’ll lead a team of dedicated risk professionals who support the Division and its Executive Office in all aspects of Risk Governance.
Your responsibilities will include preparing, reviewing, and submitting risk papers for Risk Committees, including those for the Board and Director Risk Touchpoints when required, as well as the COO Risk Forum. You’ll ensure that all submissions are accurate and complete, and you’ll provide executive briefing sessions and materials to keep our leadership informed.
A key part of your role will be driving the use of data insights within reporting and overseeing data reports for risk management purposes. You’ll engage with audits as required and provide continuous disclosure for key risk incidents and regulatory matters. Your support and oversight will be crucial for divisional regulatory responses as required for bodies such as BCCC, ASIC, and APRA. You’ll also provide guidance for regulatory changes and oversee large divisional projects to ensure that all changes meet regulatory requirements.

WHAT DO I NEED?

To succeed in this role, you’ll need outstanding people management and leadership skills, coupled with exceptional stakeholder management abilities. We’re looking for someone with over 15 years of extensive risk management framework experience and deep expertise in consumer banking non-financial management or compliance. You’ll have demonstrated experience in developing and embedding risk concepts and toolsets and implementing group or divisional regulatory frameworks.
