Executive, Procurement (Transport)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma and above in logistics management or in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Self-motivated, proactive, meticulous, and adaptable to fast changes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office such Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

• Support the purchasing of transportation services
• Best cost sourcing of transporters (for local distributions, haulage, and cross border trucking
• Issuing RFQ/Tender to solicit price quotes.
• Monitor, update and report on transportation costs.
• Keep organized records of transportation rates and services.
• Agreement preparation and Contract Management for transportation services.
• Maintain and update the Approved Transporters List.
• Evaluation and preparation of transporter’s scorecard.
• Manage the Transporters and work alongside Operations to ensure the Transporters are fulfilling their obligations.
• Solicit best cost with suppliers for Vehicles’ Maintenance & Repairs.
• Work with procurement manager on the acquisition or leasing of new vehicles.
• Monitor the fuel cost and work with the Finance Dept. and Transporters on the fuel charges.
• Ensure transporters’ compliance with company policies and local legislation.
• Conduct regular safety audits on transporters.Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
