  • Pay rate: $55,000 - $65,000 / Year
  • Location: Dartmouth, NS | With some remote opportunity
  • Shifts: 40 Hours Biweekly
  • Job type: Part-Time | Permanent

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the organization’s mission and mandate.
  • Identify and access funding sources to support the company’s development.
  • Collaborate with certifying bodies across Canada to advance member interests.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of developments affecting Technicians and Technologists.
  • Participate in and lead the preparation and presentation of the company’s Annual General Meeting.
  • Occasionally assist with and attend activities outside of regular office hours.
  • Attend Council meetings and present activity reports.
  • Maintain official records and documents and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assist the Company’s Executive in supervising, scheduling, evaluating performance, and assigning duties to the Office Administrator.
  • Market and raise awareness of the company’s benefits to industry, government, and the public.
  • Represent the company at national certifying body meetings.
  • Work with staff and Council to develop and assemble newsletters.
  • Assist in the growth and success of the company by promoting the Certification process.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Certified or eligible to be Certified as a C.Tech, C.E.T, or P.Eng.
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of finance and measures of performance.
  • Familiarity with working in a council-run organization.
  • Experience working with other stakeholders (national/international) to advance common goals.
  • Knowledge of Technician/Technologist environment in Nova Scotia/Canada.
  • Local to Halifax Regional Municipality
  • Self-motivated and accountable for decisions.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Confident team member, with strong public speaking skills.
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
