Job Description
Our Exercise Scientists play an integral role in our organisation and an even bigger role to our clients.
Kieser Pymble are currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven Exercise Scientist to join our team in a permanent part time capacity (approx. 8-16 hours). The role will also require availability to work weekends.
The role is suitable for a student studying a Masters of Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy and looking to gain experience in the field.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Utilising a range and combination of scientific concepts (biomechanics, physiology, sports psychology, motor control and development) and evidence-based practices to advise and support clients/patients
- Providing evidence-based advice and practical guidance on improving health, fitness, well-being, and physical performance
- Establishing and implementing exercise prescription and specific plans for clients/patients
- Conducting supervised 1:1 and group sessions, strength assessments and movement analysis assessments
- Establishing, assessing and re-assessing goals for new and long-term clients
- Providing consultation and guidance for athletes or clients with sporting/fitness goals to reach peak performance and recover from injury
- Completing in a timely manner associated administrative duties as required
Qualifications
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science or related field (required)
- Valid working rights in Australia (required)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (required)
- Current Working with Children Check (required)
- National Police Check (required)
