We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven Exercise Scientist to join our team at Kieser in a part time capacity.
Kieser is an integrated Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, Strength & Conditioning Clinic with a team of Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Exercise Scientists.
Kieser is committed to delivering the highest standard of care in the industry to all their clients through science/evidence based methods, relying on a highly trained team working together to achieve the best outcome.
Job Description
Our Exercise Scientists play an integral role in our organisation and an even bigger role to our clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Utilise a range and combination of scientific concepts (biomechanics, physiology, sports psychology, motor control and development) and evidence-based practices to advise and support clients/patients
- Provide evidence-based advice and practical guidance on improving health, fitness, well-being, and physical performance
- Establish and implement exercise prescription and specific plans for clients/patients
- Conduct supervised 1:1 assisted training sessions
- Establish, assess and re-assess goals
- Provide consultation and guidance for athletes or clients with sporting/fitness goals to reach peak performance and recover from injury
- Conduct strength assessments and movement analysis
- Provide support with other associated administrative duties as required
Qualifications
The successful applicant will ideally possess:
- Strong work ethic
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Sport Science or related field
- Outgoing and friendly personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High focus on client outcomes
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility with hours
- First Aid and CPR Certification (required)
Responsibilities:
