For our business in Japan we focus on rolling out and configuring Communication Intelligence (ComInt) and Communication based Electronic Support Measures (C-ESM) solutions developed in Nuremberg, Germany.

Responsibilities:

  • Support our local customers with configuration and tasking of our applications and systems
  • Analyze customer scenarios regarding signal detection, classification, demodulation and decoding
  • Conduct product demonstrations and interact with our product management team
  • Change management during project execution including system documentation
  • Supervise our local partners with configuration of ComInt and C-ESM systems for the local Japanese market according to production documents
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) together with our local partners
  • Conduct Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) together with our local partners and customers
  • Technical root cause analysis on failed tests or issues reported by customers
  • Communicate with 3rd Level support (e.g. Software Development in Germany)
  • Continuous improvement of local production, test and roll out procedures
  • Establish and maintain a close local interface to our partners and customers
  • Frequent domestic travel within Japan

You are part of our global team for ComInt and C-ESM projects. After an initial training phase you are expected to relocate to Japan and work on a 2 to 3 years Expat contract. Together with local employees and support from Germany you enable the success of our programs in Japan. From development to production you are working closely together with colleagues from Program Office, Software Development, Integration&Test as well as Production to enable acceptance and hand over to our customers in time, budget and quality.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, math, or scientific discipline OR comparable qualification
  • Advanced knowledge on Communications Engineering, Signal Processing and RF Technology
  • Experience with either Systems Engineering, Hard- or Software Development
  • Understand and interpret System Design documents
  • Experience with Configuration Management is a plus
  • Excellent autodidactic skills and high quality standards
  • Good communication as well as documentation skills in English
  • Open mindset and ideally already experienced with inter cultural collaboration
  • Military domain knowledge regarding ComInt and C-ESM are an optional plus
