INTRODUCTION

On behalf of our client in the oil and gas sector, we are looking for an experience Project Controller with knowledge of contract management. As a Project Controller in one of their capital projects, you will be responsible for providing project control deliveries and analysis to project management and relevant stakeholders. You will enable interface alignment between different disciplines, and secure control of project status through all project phases. You will do this by turning complex project data into business insights, and communicate these insights effectively to enhance management’s decisionmaking.
This is a varied role that encompasses project control, cost control and contract management.

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

• You must have at least 5-7 years’ experience with project control in large projects/organisations in Norway, as Norwegian contract laws will apply to your work.
• Knowledge of contracts and contract management and how these facilitate the completion of large projects.
• A Commercial mind-set; proactive, analytical and solution oriented
• Good knowledge of SAP or Safran Project is an advantage
• Fluent Norwegian and English is required

• Take charge of Project Control issues at the contract level within the project.
• Proactively establish and maintain project control systems and procedures to ensure consistent cost, planning, and risk control aligned with governing documents.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure the project adheres to established project control standards. Manage the cost control aspects of the contract in collaboration with the Cost Control Lead and Planner Lead.
• Assist in weight and cost estimating related to the contract.
• Conduct cost and progress control, including forecasting and analysis.
• Oversee the contract during its duration, attending monthly meetings and providing necessary updates.
• Handle project accounting and invoice processing.
• Ensure the preparation of contract appendixes for Invitation to Tenders (ITT’s).
• Participate in the evaluation of contracts and contribute to yearly budget updates.
• Ensure timely and accurate input for monthly report preparation.
• Contribute to risk management associated with Project Control.
• Support the Project Control Manager in maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
• Establish project schedules according to the business case strategies, both for early phase and execution
• Actively follow-up project plans, milestones and critical paths, including contractors’ plans.
• Ensure consistency between contractors’ plans and overall project plans.
