Description:

Due to unprecedented demand for inspections and advisory work. The water division of Advanced Engineering Solutions (AES) Ltd is seeking an experienced degree level engineer with a background in the water sector and preferably a Chartered Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in general, civil, or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the pipeline sector, preferably water
  • Chartered Engineer status is advantageou

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

AES (Part of Hydrosave UK) utilises industry-leading technology and methods, that it developed and patented, to provide enhanced pipeline condition reporting, our work is grounded in materials science and structural analysis.
This role is ideal for an engineer with strong technical credentials and a keen interest in the commercial side of the business.

The role involves two key main responsibilities:

  • You will be leading the expansion of our consultancy business, helping clients make informed investment and maintenance decisions about their assets.
  • Managing the delivery of reports, primarily condition assessments using AES’s patented equipment

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE

The successful candidate must have strong technical experience and expertise in pipeline engineering, preferably within the water sector, and the ability to engage clients to successfully expand the business. The role requires an even split between technical work, which is billable, and business development.

Technical Expertise Required:

  • Structural engineering and stress analysis
  • Materials science
  • Statistical analysis capabilities
  • Some quantitative data analysis
