The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking an Experienced Equipment and Tool Engineer (level 3) located in Tukwila, WA. Providing engineering solutions and process improvements, PM solutions, capitol purchase project management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar Engineering degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Experience with Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Experience supporting production equipment in an industrial environment.
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
PAY RANGE SUMMARY:

Summary pay range: $96,050 – $129,950

Responsibilities:
- Supports the evaluation of program and project requirements for current and forecasted equipment and tool purchasing.
- Coordinates with multiple business partners and outside vendors for support and management of current and future equipment purchase, repair and maintenance.
- Develops moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.
- Ensures compliance with safety, production, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
- Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.
- Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.
- Develops and implements moderately complex work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.
- Supports studies for disposition of assets.
