The Boeing Company - Government Accounting (Cost Policy) has an exciting opportunity for a Experienced Government Accountant to join our team in Berkeley, MO.
This position will interface with various groups at Boeing including but not limited to Financial Accounting, Cost Policy, Financial Operations, Cost and Financial Structure Management, Intercompany Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Information Technology Finance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 1+ years of experience in a Finance, Accounting, Business or related role
- Proficiency and experience Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience communicating across organizations with suppliers and leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or a related field
- Knowledge in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) & Cost Accounting Standard (CAS) and other government compliance areas
- Experience working in a challenging, fast-paced, geo-diverse team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills both virtually and in person
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years’ related work experience, 7 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret data, policies and regulatory requirements to aid decision making by business and finance leaders
- Ensure compliance and champion internal controls and procedures
- Provide guidance on cost accounting policy issues
- Manage and support Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits
- Perform a wide variety of tasks including applying Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standard (CAS) concepts to various circumstances and business practices to ensure compliance
