Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Procurement Agent located in multiple locations.
This position will be supporting a major supplier as a team leader, as well as leading key negotiation/contracting efforts, partnering with all levels of leadership and multiple organizations. This role can be located at an of the listed Boeing locations. This is a hybrid position requiring a 2 day a week minimum in office presence. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- More than 5 years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement practices and processes
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- More than 5 years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
- More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
- More than 5 years of experience in a high volume, fast paced environment
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Typically 8 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Issues Requests for Proposals/Quotes, performing proposal fact-finding and Price and Cost Analysis, developing negotiation strategies utilizing supplier cost & pricing data, contract terms and conditions and preparing contractual documents and binding agreements.
- Manages supplier performance to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and other key support to programs. In addition, the team will be responsible for driving for cultivating and maintaining the supplier relationship.
- Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
- Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management.
- Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.
- Leads Procurement Agents on team to help accomplish procurement process
