The Boeing Company is looking for a Production and Inventory Coordinator to join our team in North Charleston, SC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience with shipping and receiving
  • Currently have or able to obtain forklift license
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 1+ years of experience in a customer service role
  • 1+ years of experience handling and disposing of hazardous materials per government regulations
  • 1+ years of experience with inventory management systems or database applications
  • 1+ years of experience with stocking of material
  • Experience using the Boeing Systems ARES and Haztrax

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years’ related work, Bachelor, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Uses Boeing systems (ARES/BESSy) to perform shipping and receiving
  • Identifies and clears receiving discrepancies
  • Operates forklift to load/unload trucks and move material
  • Inventory Management: Uses Boeing systems to order (Ariba/Eparts) and manage inventory of various supplies and personal protective equipment (safety glasses/earplugs, etc.)
  • Communicates parts and material status
  • Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays
  • Stocks point of use and personal protective equipment locations
  • Uses Boeing system (Haztrax) to order, receive and manage hazardous material
  • Removes hazardous waste
  • Updates shipping and receiving records and files for records retention requirements
  • Expedites receipt and delivery of material
  • Updates daily metrics
  • Works under general supervision
