The Boeing Company is looking for a Production and Inventory Coordinator to join our team in North Charleston, SC.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years of experience with shipping and receiving
- Currently have or able to obtain forklift license
- Experience with Microsoft Office products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 1+ years of experience in a customer service role
- 1+ years of experience handling and disposing of hazardous materials per government regulations
- 1+ years of experience with inventory management systems or database applications
- 1+ years of experience with stocking of material
- Experience using the Boeing Systems ARES and Haztrax
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years’ related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Uses Boeing systems (ARES/BESSy) to perform shipping and receiving
- Identifies and clears receiving discrepancies
- Operates forklift to load/unload trucks and move material
- Inventory Management: Uses Boeing systems to order (Ariba/Eparts) and manage inventory of various supplies and personal protective equipment (safety glasses/earplugs, etc.)
- Communicates parts and material status
- Coordinates with various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays
- Stocks point of use and personal protective equipment locations
- Uses Boeing system (Haztrax) to order, receive and manage hazardous material
- Removes hazardous waste
- Updates shipping and receiving records and files for records retention requirements
- Expedites receipt and delivery of material
- Updates daily metrics
- Works under general supervision
