Description:

EXPERIENCED SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT

Location: Birmingham
Duration: Full time, on going
Salary: £75 – 85 per day

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
  • SLD, MLD, ASD and Complex needs experience
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate
  • Recent school based references
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport
  • Full DBS – on the update service

Responsibilities:

THE SCHOOL/ROLE:

A fantastic school in Birmingham are currently looking for a fulltime experienced KS1 SEN teaching assistant. The school aims to provide a secure environment where all the children’s individual needs are recognised and catered for. The school hopes to seek a strong TA who has pre-existing experience supporting children with learning difficulties.

The school places a special emphasis on core subjects and offer a wide range of learning opportunities therefore experience working with a range of subjects is ideal. PECS and Makaton training or experience would be suitable for the teaching assistant role but not necessary. This is a full-time post and will run until the end of the academic year.
The school require someone committed to the teaching assistant role as they need consistency for the children, in return the school will offer all the support and additional training you may need.
