The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Staff Analyst to join the IAM/ Boeing Joint Programs organization in Seattle, Washington.
The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about working with the hourly International Association of Machinist (IAM) Employees to assist them in furthering their careers. This is a collaborative role that requires the ability to work with internal clients and colleagues on co-located process teams as well as colleges and vendors that provide training. The role demands strong process instincts, excellent communication skills, technical fluency, empathy, humility and understanding of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and Joint Programs Education Assistance.

This role will include facilitating:

  • Administration of Education Assistance (EA) Program
  • Curriculum Management
  • Administration and oversight Safety Shoes Reimbursements
  • Administration and oversight of Online Expert

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years of experience collecting data, developing metrics, and conducting trend analysis
  • 3+ years of experience in project management and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • 3+ years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
  • Strong organizational skills including and deep understanding of project management concepts for planning, monitoring, and reporting assessment findings

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years in the Aerospace Industry
  • 3+ years of experience coaching and mentoring others
  • 3+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership
  • 3+ years of experience creating executive level briefings
  • Experience in a role that required excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Responsibilities:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer the EA program providing education, training and personal development opportunities to IAM employees
  • Communicate with employees and schools regarding questions and assistance
  • Annual review and update of EA guidelines
  • Validate program eligibility for active and laid off employees
  • Administer courses and schools approved for education assistance funds (each course and/or school is reviewed on a 12–18 month cycle)
  • Review and assess course curriculum and/or school to ensure that still meets guidelines
  • Review and assess New Course to ensure the course and/or school meets the guidelines, identify if a similar course already is approved
  • Communicate and work with the employee, Career Advisor and the school on approval or denial
  • Work directly with community colleges and course vendors
  • Administer EA applications
  • Receive, review and process all incoming applications tuition applications
  • Ensure all EA Payments are processed and work with schools on any questions
  • Manage Employee Request to Transfer (ERT) Course Maintenance and/or Inactivation requests
  • Establish system access requirements for Curriculum Developers (3rd Party)
  • Assist with development and review of courses ERT and Joint Program courses
  • Review and process course number requests
  • Manage Curriculum Library and access controls
  • Audit work quarterly in process folder
  • Provide coaching and/or training on Joint Programs services
  • Lead the Safety Shoe Reimbursement process
  • Administer Light duty and Data coordinator processes forms
  • Perform annual review of Safety Shoe reimbursement policy
  • Provide Monthly metrics
