JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable backend systems for our e-commerce platform.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and data scientists, to understand requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
• Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our platform’s capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on building scalable and high-performance systems.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages, such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience leading a team of at least 5 technically is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies and the ability to collaborate with frontend engineers.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and large-scale data processing frameworks is highly desirable.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud platforms, is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
