WORKING FROM WITHIN THE CIO OFFICE OF OUR BANKING TECHNLOGY DOMAIN YOU WILL OPERATE AT THE HEART OF OUR SCALABLE TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM, LEADING A TEAM OF EXPERTS RESPONSIBLE TO SET THE STANDARDS FOR THEIR EXPERTISE AREA AND TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR DEVELOPING, INNOVATING AND SAFEGUARDING KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD OF EXPERTISE.

You will lead the change portfolio, orchestrate the delivery of complex change to ensure strategic alignment with key stakeholders, provide executional certainty and insights and ensure adherence to transformation methodologies to deliver transformational change for the business. You will have continuous focus on enhancing flow on product delivery and further embed desired culture and behaviors.
Overseeing the work of the team, you will identify key information and opportunities, linking purpose and strategy, that aligns to and supports ING’s goal to become a financial services platform that extends beyond banking.

Responsibilities:

Your main focus will be on driving the strategic product- and engineering transformation roadmap within the organisation. This includes:

  • Business planning: Contribute to the development of annual and longer-term business plans; forecast performance against business key performance indicators; develop business cases for key activities/projects; and estimate the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets.
  • Leadership and direction: Communicate the actions needed to implement the function’s strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization’s mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.
  • Performance management:
  • Manage and report on the performance of the business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
  • Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives
  • Project-, program- and portfolio management:
  • Lead the design and delivery of project assurance reviews, enable the delivery of assurance reviews by independent third parties, and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to resolve any issues identified to give senior stakeholders confidence that the project can deliver to time, budget, and quality.
  • Manage the production of project and workstream plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized and resourced to deliver project objectives, and comply with the organization’s project and program management framework.
  • Ensure that roles and responsibilities are clearly defined within the project delivery and project management office teams
  • Ensure project compliance with the organization’s wider program and/or portfolio management decision-making structures and processes.
  • Transformational change- and process management: Manage projects or substantial workstreams within a transformational change program, ensuring integration with related projects; use structured change management methodologies to build acceptance of change and to embed desired culture and behaviours
  • Sourcing management: Work closely with the Tech Resource Board on resource planning, FTE budgeting, onboarding of new talent and talent management, while aligning this with our HR partner
  • Financial management: Gathering relevant data and other input for the Change Board in continuous alignment with our Business Controller
