Expert Product Owner

at  European Dynamics

We currently have a vacancy for an Expert Product Owner fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 13 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• At least five years of experience in the HR business domain, specializing in the implementation of time management solutions;
• Experience with large, enterprise-level multi-user Information Systems;
• Experience in Agile;
• Excellent knowledge of agile toolbox (JIRA, Confluence, BigPicture, Gliffy, Balsamiq, etc.);
• Excellent knowledge of Oracle database technologies (SQL and PL/SQL);
• Knowledge in managing the end-to-end lifecycle of a software product from conception through development, launch, and iteration;
• Knowledge in designing scalable and robust architecture for software applications, considering both current needs and future growth;
• Knowledge in interpreting and utilizing data to make product decisions;
• One of the following certifications is mandatory: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), SAFe Product Owner or equivalent;
• The following certifications: ITIL, Project management certification such as Prince2, PM², would be considered an asset;
• Excellent command of the English and French language.

• Work within the agile process and is the final authority for decisions regarding priority, business value, and functionality for all the work done by the agile development team;
• Propose solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an in-depth understanding of a specific business domain;
• Create, maintain, prioritize, and sequence the product backlog based on business value or return of investment;
• Create user stories and acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for a single sprint;
• Participate in retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings;
• Develop, maintain standards for testing and provide progress reporting;
• Assist in the prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs.
