Description:

  • Workforce Group is seeking to hire a result-oriented and experienced Export Business Manager who will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving an export business, be responsible for the overall business development and operation of the export transactions throughout the entire supply chain, ensuring seamless coordination between teams in Nigeria and overseas on exportactivities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven 10+ years of experience in international trade, export/import management, logistics, and commodity trading in agricultural or mining/mineral products.
  • Very strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Be able to travel in Nigeria or to other African countries.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive business growth.
  • Proficient in using trade management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

International Business Development and Trade Operations:

  • Coordinate with offices in China and Europe to develop the export market for Nigerian products.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of export operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize export supply chains and operational processes.

Market Analysis, Strategy and Vendor Management:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential supply sources and assess trade opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Nigeria local partners to ensure a smooth supply chain.
  • Explore and identify supply sources from neighboring African countries.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with international trade activities, including transportation, shipment and payment.
  • Implement strategies to minimize the impact of geopolitical, economic, and regulatory changes.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of all international trade transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation requirements and facilitate audits when necessary.

Performance Management:

  • Set KPIs of subordinates following SMART.
  • Maintain good communication with team members, transfer information and feedback to the Mgt.

Team Fostering:

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, and provide necessary guidance and support to maintain team harmony and stability.
