The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a(n) Export Markets Coordinator (m/f/*) you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Administrative Support - Providing administrative support for the Vice President and other team members in the Export Markets organization
  • Purchase Order creation - Generate and manage purchase orders, ensure accuracy and completeness of order details
  • Vendor coordination - build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Invoicing management - Process and track incoming vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with established policies
  • Documentation and record keeping - Prepare reports summarizing purchasing and invoicing activities for management review

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and five (5) year of experience performing common administrative functions and software (e.g., telephone, e-mail etiquette, MS Office Suite, expense reporting, mailings, supply/equipment ordering, and meeting planning) in a public, private, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Proven experience in purchase order creation, vendor coordination, and invoicing management, specifically within SAP
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with any other tools such as: Workday, Concur, P-Card and/or Salesforce is preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced administrative assistant experience
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and complete assignments under pressure and short timelines
