Job Description
Due to the growth of our business in the Southern Australian Region, we have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our Senior Leadership Team as an HR Manager based in Adelaide, SA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Culture: Implement and promote culture, well-being, development, and retention initiatives. Ensure project leaders create and sustain high-performing teams engaged in strategic HR initiatives.
  • Strategic Resourcing: Partner with managers and parent companies to resource the program of works, including mobilisation, retention, demobilisation, and staff transfers.
  • Recruitment and Engagement: Collaborate with people managers and internal recruitment teams to plan and manage recruitment, changes, and ongoing resourcing support.
  • HR and IR Management: Oversee HR and IR management plans, ensuring alignment with corporate policies. Stay updated on contemporary HR and IR practices.
  • Employee Relations: Provide strategic advice on workplace relations, manage discipline and grievance cases, and handle redundancies, terminations, and demobilisations.
  • Performance Management: Conduct talent reviews, annual performance reviews, remuneration reviews, and workshops. Support local employment and industry participation, focusing on diversity.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industrial relations or workplace relations management plans.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in a similar HR role in a medium to large-sised business, with at least 2 years as a Senior HR Advisor or equivalent. Experience in conflict resolution and disciplinary processes is essential.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading a team that delivers HR support and activities.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of industrial relations and HR legislation, particularly the Fair Work Act.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or a related discipline.
  • Certifications: Construction Induction Training (CIT/‘White Card’, obtained face-to-face) and a current Driver’s license with a reliable vehicle.
  • Desirable: Experience in construction and major infrastructure projects.
