Description:
Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for an Extreme Programming (XP) and Pair Programming Consultant for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is an American cloud-based software company headquartered in San Francisco, California. It provides customer relationship management (CRM) software and applications focused on sales, customer service, marketing automation, e-commerce, analytics, and application development. It is a leading provider of several customer relationship management (CRM) services, including sales cloud service, cloud marketing cloud, and commerce cloud and platform. They serve various industries, including finance, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, telecommunications, and more. The client provides industry-specific solutions tailored to the unique needs of each sector. With a solid commitment to innovation, security, and corporate responsibility, they remain a dominant force in the CRM industry. It’s a 6-month engagement remotely or on-site in Seattle/San Francisco.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of strong experience as an Extreme Programming (XP) and Pair Programming Consultant.
- Strong skills in mentoring and coaching, particularly with junior developers.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting or onsite in Seattle/San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate remotely or onsite with junior developers in Seattle/San Francisco to enforce XP practices and pair programming techniques.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, helping them quickly transition to mid/senior levels.
- Ensure adherence to XP principles, including test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration, and frequent releases.
- Facilitate effective pair programming sessions, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Assist in the development and refinement of agile processes within the team.
- Participate in code reviews, offering insights and suggestions to improve code quality and maintainability.
- Support the team in adopting and implementing best practices for software development.
- Aim to significantly elevate the skill levels of junior developers within 6 months.
Will be a plus:
- Good knowledge of Java and Go.
