Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking to expand our fast-growing strategy team in Ireland with experienced candidates across all levels of our team, from Consultant (2+ years of experience) to Director (senior leadership level).
This is a truly unique opportunity where you will get the chance to shape the future of EY-Parthenon’s strategy practice in Ireland, working with a diverse set of clients to solve their most important challenges. In EY-Parthenon Strategy, we work alongside our clients to help them prepare for the future. EY-Parthenon has a flat structure which will allow you to become actively involved in many levels of client work.
The team adopts a methodical, collaborative approach with clients to jointly answer the key strategic questions they are faced with. Examples of the work you will be involved in include:
- Working with senior leaders at clients to help them develop their organisational strategy – topics addressed include defining the organisation’s purpose, outlining its strategic objectives, identifying key customer segments, planning to enter new geographies, building new go-to-market approaches, mapping the capabilities required for success, and tracking performance.
- Delivering commercial due diligence to support M&A transactions, on both the buy-side and the sell-side, which requires comprehensive analysis to determine the attractiveness and viability of potential investments, to support the decision-making process.
- Conducting business development activities to win projects with potential clients by outlining how our team would approach the challenges they are facing. This includes both writing proposals and bids for how our services can support clients, as well as identifying potential opportunities with existing clients.
- Developing a community within the team by building offerings and initiatives, writing thought leadership, getting involved in recruitment, supporting internal team activities, etc.
In addition, EY-Parthenon provides a robust formal training programme designed to suit you at each stage of your career and help you to develop the skills needed to maximise your effectiveness as a consultant and an advisor. EY-Parthenon invests heavily in the professional development of its consultants. We believe everyone has unique needs and motivations and therefore professional development is best accomplished through a customised program of training, staffing, and mentorship.
Please note that graduates, or those with less than 2-3 years of relevant experience, should apply for our Associate Consultant position here.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS
Successful candidates are intellectually curious, passionate about solving complex problems, hardworking, have an enthusiastic and approachable demeanour, and have an entrepreneurial mindset. We want people who are great communicators, who collaborate well with others, and who have a real desire to both learn and coach others. We are especially interested in candidates who have prior experience working for a strategy consulting firm.
