Responsibilities:

As a F-35 Systems administrator, you will provide first class Offboard Information Systems support to allow F-35 Force projection in Defence of Australia and its National Interests.
We are looking to develop and provide training for the successful candidate and will consider transferable skills and experience including and not limited to: Avionics Technician, Database Administrator, ITC helpdesk, Configuration Officer, or desktop support.

Primary responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for the installation, upgrade, configuration, maintenance, and support of Off-board Mission Systems that underlie the F-35 mission planning cycle.
  • Conduct analysis and perform troubleshooting on a multitude of user and system predicaments.
  • Undertake system administration tasks to enable pilots and Mission Support Staff in the F-35 Mission Cycle.
  • The F-35 Off-Board Mission Systems administrator must have strong communication skills as they’ll serve as the primary point of contact for any enquiries or problems raised by F-35 Information System users.
  • Supporting the F-35 information systems may necessitate both domestic and international travel.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Administration, upgrading, patching, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of windows systems, network devices, and Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI).
  • Information Management.
  • Undertake the maintenance, storage, and management of data including all associated applications relevant to the F-35 Information systems;
  • Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS)
  • Operational Data Integrated Network (ODIN)
  • Mission Planning Support Environment (MPSE)
  • Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery: Run application for system settings and Registry backups.
