Description:
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To standardize and approve the bulk fabric, trim and colour and ensure the quality to be shipped to nominated factory is up to standard.
- Working closely with design and garment technical team to provide raw material technical support and problem solving.
- To provide risk assessment on fabric and trim in development stage.
- Communicating with factories and suppliers to ensure they clearly understand Brand’s fabric & trim requirements.
- To provide training and calibration with factory and mill’s fabric representative.
- Setting up new fabric supplier meetings
- To set up and monitor the Brand’s raw material supplier matrix and fabric list.
- To co-ordinate with design on the raw material sourcing strategy and bring in new suppliers to meet the Brand business.
- To maintain the fabric and colour library and approval records are up to date.
- To follow up and review fabric and garment test report to assign garment care label.
- To oversee the fabric, trim and test report approval to meet the critical path.
- To maintain the Brands’ testing manual and the raw material testing regulatory up to date to meet global requirements.
- Build relationship with nominated mills.
- Have fabric & trim pricing awareness.
- Standardise the linings and any other frequently used trims, so that we can negotiate the best price.
- Oversee Nadine Merabi’s sustainability, testing and compliance strategy for worldwide distribution.
- Developing and maintaining supplier testing manuals and ensuring standards are set and met.
- Ensuring worldwide and whoelsale compliance for chemical and labelling standards. This would also include care instruction labels and disclaimers to prevent loss. Working with label supplier re translations into required languages.Constantly aware of ever changing global legislation and communicating updates to the wider business.
