Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a kitchen/facilities assistant, you will be at the heart of our operations, supporting the kitchen staff in maintaining the cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency of the kitchen. This role involves food preparation and cleaning duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning food items. Follow recipes and instructions from chefs to prepare simple dishes.
  • Cleaning and Sanitising: Ensure that the kitchen, including work surfaces, equipment, and utensils, is kept clean and sanitised according to health and safety regulations.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashing machines or manually wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items.
  • Inventory Management: Help with the receipt and storage of deliveries. Ensure that all food items are stored properly and rotated to maintain freshness.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any hazards or maintenance issues to the kitchen supervisor.
