Micron is seeking an engineer with experience in design of chemical distribution systems for the semiconductor industry to support design, construction and commissioning of major projects, including a new high volume manufacturing facility located in Boise, ID. Job requires successful candidate to be a standout colleague who also takes ownership and drives success of designated areas of responsibility. Good written and verbal English communication skills are also required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5-year experience with Semiconductor Facilities and/or Chemical experience designing, maintaining, or installing distribution piping, valve manifold boxes, gas cabinets, chemical supply pumping systems, hazardous and high purity chemicals and gases, or de-ionized / ultrapure water systems
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule workload and work on multiple tasks concurrently
  • Good organizational skills and service focus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good team working skills, English Required
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing and facilities systems

Responsibilities:

Provides engineering for semiconductor manufacturing site facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts, including semiconductor tool installations and R&D applications, working toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations. Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Completes engineering for requested changes to develop estimates for design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs for semiconductor manufacturing sites, including R&D applications. Inspects construction and installation progress for conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Develops criteria and performance specifications required to meet unique operating requirements and building and safety codes.
