Description:
HE ANGITŪTANGA: THE OPPORTUNITY
Auckland Council’s Community Facilities team has an opportunity for a fixed term full time Facilities Coordinator to join the team. This role will report directly to Manager Area Operations and is based in the Auckland CBD until March 2025.
This is a critical role for the day-to-day management of some of Auckland’s most unique buildings and open spaces such as our libraries, heritage buildings, playgrounds, parks and reserves.
You could expect to work on:
- Auditing the performance of our contractors; communicating contractor specifications
- Acting as the first point of call for all maintenance queries
- Managing the compliance of complex assets
HE KŌRERO MŌU: ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who has good political acumen and the confidence to articulate information in both a political and culturally diverse environment. Your stakeholders include the public, local board members and internal staff such as librarians, community centre management and contractors.
In equal measure we are looking for someone with experience dealing with day-to-day facilities management, ideally in both the built and open space.
We will be looking for specific experience:
- Relationship management
- Managing a budget and providing sound financial tracking.
- Built & open space maintenance
- Strong administrative and computer skills
