Introduction to role
Join our UK 1 Engineering and Facilities Function team at AstraZeneca, where you will provide professional engineering and facilities support to our Biologics manufacturing facility in Speke, Liverpool. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a World Class service, ensuring an uninterrupted, stable, and reliable operation of the UK1 Manufacturing, Testing, Research & Development processes.
Accountabilities
As a Facilities Maintenance Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a multi-disciplined engineering facilities team, managing external service providers, and ensuring all Facilities Maintenance activities are performed to AZ SHE requirements. You will drive a focus on Facilities compliance activities, manage regulatory quality compliance, and provide technical support for all Maintenance Engineering and Facility plant and equipment. Additionally, you will support the delivery of the site’s Energy Efficient programme aligned to AstraZeneca Corporate targets.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Formal Engineering apprenticeship, likely with a HNC (ONC) academic qualification
- Extensive experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical Maintenance Engineering
- Strong leadership skills with excellent organisation skills
- Considerable technical knowledge and high level of expertise of the job
- Practical working knowledge of SAP
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of automated equipment and processes, utilities and HVAC systems
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
